"Everything and anything has a counter"- Yes and no. There's an answer to every problem you have with T7, its just the matter of putting in the time to learn it.
If you're having trouble finding an answer against certain characters, look up the move name, record it, and find your answer through trial and error. Newer characters generally have a smaller movelist, easy execution based moves, and high damage output. I mentioned these characters specifically because all new characters starting from T5 DR were meant to have an easy learning curve with fewer execution. If you're too focused on gameplay, then you need to spend more time getting to know newer generation characters ( Lucky Chloe, Katarina, Dragunov, Lili, Alisa, Lars and Gigas ) while learning the mechanics. Oki, sidestep, juggles, low parry, etc is another. Picking a character you like is one thing, actually learning the games mechanics aka. Let's be real though, if you're too busy writing up a storm about how bad T7 is and comparing it to it's older generation, are you really taking the time to learn it? I learned to button mash in T2, started learning combos and actual gameplay mechanics in T3 and started from there. There really isn't much advice for anyone trying to "learn" Tekken other than the * get gud * mind set.
